The home office of our commercial business is located in Richmond, Melbourne. Manufacturing and distribution sites located in Shepparton and Kyabram in Victoria’s beautiful Goulburn Valley region.

Each year SPC offers temporary positions in manufacturing roles during the peak fruit processing season.

The availability and duration of the work is dictated by crop harvests and typically commences in the middle of December and continues through to March/April.

Seasonal or temporary employment at SPC is offered through short fixed term contracts. Tasks could include inspecting, sorting and trimming fruit by hand or operating manual and automatic machinery. There are a range of physical activities that employees may be required to do such as lift, push and pull product in containers, pallets or bins or clean machinery by hand or pressure hose using food grade cleaning agents. Suitably qualified people may operate forklifts or complex process equipment.

  • Attend and pass either a New Employee or Returning Employee Induction Health Screen and Medical Checks Prior to starting with SPC all new and returning applicants are required to complete a health screen and physical assessment. Positions that have specific physical requirements, may also require additional pre-employment assessments. These will be conducted by health care professionals nominated by SPC who will assess your capacity to safely, independently and productively carry out the reasonable requirements of the position.

You must provide:

  • Photo ID, or other evidence of Australian Citizenship

  • Evidence of right to work in Australia

  • Passport and valid temporary visa permitting you to work in Australia
    New Employees must also provide a:

The health and safety of our employees and workplace is paramount to SPC. As a food processor we take our duty of care very seriously.

Before you are employed at SPC you must declare details of any previous or current injuries, illnesses, allergies or disabilities which may affect the ability to carry out your job.
