The home office of our commercial business is located in Richmond, Melbourne. Manufacturing and distribution sites are located in Shepparton and Kyabram in Victoria’s beautiful Goulburn Valley region.

SEASONAL & TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT

Each year SPC offers temporary positions in manufacturing roles during the peak fruit processing season. The availability and duration of the work is dictated by crop harvests and typically commences in the middle of December and continues through to March/April.

 

Seasonal or temporary employment at SPC are offered on a short term fix term contract. Tasks could include inspecting, sorting and trimming fruit by hand or operating manual and automatic machinery. There are a range of physical activities that employees may be required to do such as lift, push and pull product in containers, pallets or bins or clean machinery by hand or pressure hose using food grade cleaning agents. Suitably qualified people may operate forklifts or complex process equipment. 

In order to work for SPC you must have one of the following documents:

  • Photo ID, or other evidence of Australian citizenship
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia
  • Passport and valid temporary visa permitting you to work in Australia.

HEALTH & SAFETY

The health and safety of our employees and workplace is paramount to SPC. As a food processor we take our duty of care very seriously.

Before you are employed at SPC you must declare details of any previous or current injuries, illnesses, allergies or disabilities which may affect the ability to carry out your job. If you suffer from, or are a carrier of a disease that is likely to be transmitted through food you must declare this at the time of registration.

All employees are expected to adhere to all SPC policies and demonstrate correct safe behaviours, undertake required training, follow all instructions and identify and report any risks to your safety or the safety of others. Please be advised that SPC conducts random drug and alcohol testing across all of our worksites.
