SEASONAL & TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT
Each year SPC offers temporary Seasonal employment in manufacturing roles during the peak fruit processing season.
The availability and duration of the work is dictated by crop harvests and typically commences in the middle of December and continues through to March/April.
Tasks could include inspecting, sorting and trimming fruit by hand or operating manual and automatic machinery. There are a range of physical activities that employees may be required to do such as lift, push and pull product in containers, pallets or bins or clean machinery by hand or pressure hose using food grade cleaning agents. Suitably qualified people may operate forklifts or complex process equipment.

- Attend and pass either a New Employee or Returning Employee Induction Health Screen and Medical Checks Prior to starting with SPC. Positions that have specific physical requirements, may also require additional pre-employment assessments. These will be conducted by health care professionals nominated by SPC who will assess your capacity to safely, independently and productively carry out the reasonable requirements of the position.
You must provide:
- Photo ID, or other evidence of Australian Citizenship
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
- Passport and valid temporary visa permitting you to work in Australia
New Employees must also provide a:
